Although one could label me many things I would rather be known as a New England writer.

"Here lies PM Vitalone, he is my favorite writer" they will say standing before a tiny Massachusetts tombstone that reads:

Of all that which interests me I hold literature in the highest regard. I have yet to really crack it but an exuberant man in an online video once said "plans are so very plain, you can either remain patient or quit."

For a time I wrote reportage, thoughtful features published a few years too late and occasional columns more concerned with the immediate moment. It was all very boring but then I realized businessmen and women make much better patrons paying writers.

"Create a compelling narrative," the C levels say. "We need to sell more products."

And so I serve my financiers while writing what I hope will come to define my work.
